Former Silk Road Vendor Jesusofrave Allegedly Arrested

A Pastebin post made on July 8, 2019 suggests that the famous founder of psychedelics shop Church of Rave, jesusofrave (JoR), may have been arrested. The team of psychedelic vendor shop GammaGoblin (Pushing Taboo) made the announcement on this Pastebin hidden service: http://artsmankindxgcv5.onion/.

The Gammagoblin admins state in the message that "We have every reason now to believe that something VERY bad happened to the head of the Church, Jesus of Rave (JoR). By signing this message with our PGP key we can assure you that this service was not seized by LE and we're the only people who ever had access to the server (JoR just had an access to the backend)."

This news comes as an appalling blow to the psychedelic community, as JoR had an exceptional reputation among psychedelic vendors since the early days of Tor, when the Silk Road was still active. What differentiated him from many other vendors was his dedication, honesty, and quality of goods. JoR gained fame during this time for selling a version of LSD that they dubbed "The Original Christ," and characterized as "white fluff from Switzerland of 95 percent purity or better," according to allthingsvice.com. Further details are available on that site.

Following the seizure of the Silk Road, the JoR team found new homes on some of its successor markets, such as Silk Road 2, Agora, and Evolution (all of which have subsequently shut down). They also became part of the community on The Majestic Garden, a popular forum for psychedelics and harm reduction. As on the other markets, the team thrived there, making new friends and connections.

Oddly enough, the message on the site states that "By signing this message with our PGP key we can assure you that this service was not seized by LE and we're the only people who ever had access to the server (JoR just had an access to the backend)." Given that the site was not compromised by law enforcement, this announcement has proven puzzling to many in the psychedelic community.

An ongoing discussion regarding this event can be found on Dread at Jesus of Rave (JoR) and The Church (TEN) potentially compromised!. Updates will be announced as more information becomes available.
